The art of making scores and parts practical to play and aesthetically pleasing to look at can be called many things, such as Music Typesetting, Music Engraving, Music Editing, Music Preparation, or Music Copying.

The most practical parts have great page turns that don't require the musician to sacrifice any of the music in order to turn the page, useful cues to eliminate wrong entries during recording sessions or first rehearsals, and every note and rhythm notated in the most helpful way for the musician.

Great-looking parts have perfect spacing vertically and horizontally, no overlapping objects, and easy-to-read music and text fonts.
